Phytotherapy
Phytotherapy uses the medicinal properties of plants to promote health, preventing disease, providing symptom relief and recovery of the patient. Along with Acupuncture, it is an important pillar in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Therapeutic substances are extracted from fresh or dried plants, resulting in a herbal preparation that can also contain essential oils. Such preparations have long been used in the East and are designed for internal (infusions) or external (skin poultices or plasters) uses.
Phytotherapy can be used alone or in combination with Acupuncture treatments, both in clinical and cosmetic treatments. It can also be a complement to a Tui Ná Massage, applied in weight loss treatments.
This therapy focuses on the bond between humankind and the environment, making use of natural resources in order to assist the body in healing the affected physiological functions, strengthening immunity and promoting detoxification and rejuvenation.
